I had a hard time deciding what I wanted to do to ring in the new year. I wanted to do something special, something memorable. Also, I wanted all of you to be able to participate. I didn't just want to make New Years resolutions, because they're usually forgotten about a week into January.
Then, last night, I had a beautiful dream... and when I woke up, this idea just came to me.
In my dream, I was sitting in a rowboat in the middle of a big lake. It was nighttime, and it was very dark. There were stars, but only a few, twinkling in the sky above me. Suddenly, I closed my eyes and started naming all of the things I was grateful for. I noticed that most of them were recent, like, within the last year. When I opened my eyes, I looked up, and the sky was filled with floating, paper lanterns. As I named another blessing, another lantern floated up to join the rest.
Then, of course, I had to wake up. (Don't you just hate that?) But somewhere in that "just-waking-up" phase, I had my idea. And so I got out my laptop and got to work.
I want to name all of the things that I am thankful for, just in this past year. With everything amazing that's happened to me, I should be able to name one-hundred blessings from 2011. It won't be easy, but that's the point. I want to make myself remember as many little things as I can about this year, before it's gone forever.

CONGRATS on those 100+ followers, Jessica! That is AWESOME. ;D
Oh how sweet!
Oh my gosh this is such a great idea, Jessica!
grandma's om noms? --- My mom gave me the recipe -- they are called Oreo bon bons lol
16 oz of cream cheese
1 normal size pack of oreos any kind you want (mashed until it is practically powder)
then put both in a big bowel and mix with your hands till it is all mixed super well! then make little bit sized balls and put on a cookie sheet.
put in freezer while you melt some chocolate.
after the chocolate is melted you need to get some of the chocolate on the oreo balls, you can do this part several ways.
- 1st time I did this I dunked each on it it (very messy!)
-2nd time I did it (the ones your grandma brought you) I just held them one at a time over the chocolate with two fingers and then spooned chocolate over the top.
then you put them back on the cookie sheet and in the freezer.
then melt, less then half, a bag of white chocolate. and then pour into a baggie and cut a VERY SMALL hole in one side.
get out the cookie sheet of bon bons and squeeze the bag over them in fast lines to get the design on top.
then back in the freezer till the chocolate is frozen.
tada :)
if you have any questions email/ text me!
